The task performed by the pioneer members of the Soberanía Patrol should be considered an incredible feat. One only needs to think about the harshness of the polar climate they had to bear and the physical effort made to be aware of the importance.

Their iron pickaxes which were approximately 52 cm long were reduced to 25 cm because of intensive use.
The valuable fruits reaped were the result of the effort this handful of people made, they devoted themselves to succeed in the Pacific conquest of the Argentine sovereignty on the White Continent and it should be a model for our children and youth.

In the most inhospitable region of the planet where the elementary traces of life are tiny plants, where the temperature is -50º thermal sensation, where the winds are extremely strong, these pioneers, alone, physically isolated from the world, short of equipment and with small tents faced every risk and accepted the challenge of this utopia till they succeeded. Their exploit moves us and rouses our admiration and recognition.
